The Seo-gu Honors, a group of major donors in Seo-gu, Gwangju, shared warmth by delivering "Winter Ddasum Delivery" packages to vulnerable households struggling with heating during the winter season.
On the 28th, Seo-gu Honors personally visited 922 households in need, including low-income families, elderly people living alone, and families with disabled members, to deliver winter supplies such as electric and hot water mats, padded jackets, and winter blankets. The group provided 23 million won in sponsorship funds for this initiative.
The event was attended by Kim Ikang, Mayor of Seo-gu, members of Seo-gu Honors, and the local welfare council, who delivered the supplies to recipients, checked on their living conditions and residential safety, and offered heartfelt comfort.
One elderly recipient expressed gratitude, saying, "I was very worried about the approaching cold winter, but receiving these much-needed items in person is a great comfort."
Kim Ikang, Mayor of Seo-gu, stated, "I hope the warmth delivered by Seo-gu Honors will be a great source of strength for neighbors who are concerned about the winter," adding, "I deeply appreciate the Seo-gu Honors donors who are always the first to reach out to those in need."
Meanwhile, Seo-gu launched the Seo-gu Honors group of major donors in November last year in partnership with the Gwangju Community Chest of Korea. To date, 107 members have donated a total of approximately 3.6 billion won.
