"Six New Models to Be Unveiled Next Year"
Volkswagen announced on the 28th that it demonstrated outstanding product competitiveness by sweeping four categories at the German '2025 Golden Steering Wheel' awards.
The 'Golden Steering Wheel,' considered the most prestigious automotive award in Europe, has been presented annually since 1976 by the German automotive magazine Auto Bild and Bild am Sonntag to recognize outstanding new models.

This year, a total of 72 models were evaluated across 17 criteria, including powertrain, chassis, design, quality, sustainability, value for money, and safety, to select the top model in 13 categories.
Volkswagen set a record by becoming the first brand in the history of the Golden Steering Wheel to win in four categories simultaneously.
The 'Golf GTI Edition 50,' which was named the best compact car, took first place ahead of two electric competitors, the Kia EV4 and the Skoda Enyaq RS. Developed to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the GTI next year, the Golf GTI Edition 50 delivers a maximum output of 325 horsepower and a peak torque of 420 Nm, making it the most powerful production model in GTI history.
The 'ID.7 GTX Tourer,' which won in the mid-size segment, is Volkswagen's first all-electric wagon model, featuring generous space, excellent driving convenience, and a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system with a maximum output of 340 horsepower. The judging panel highly praised its outstanding value for money, based on its advanced technology and performance.
The 'Tayron,' selected as the best family car, is an SUV model that offers an all-wheel-drive system and a maximum towing capacity of 2.5 tons. In particular, it was recognized for its high level of comfort, superior ride quality, and stability, earning the title of best model in the family car category.
The second-generation 'New T-Roc,' named the best car under 40,000 euros, is a compact SUV that has been dramatically upgraded in every aspect compared to its predecessor. It features a sporty and elegant design, expanded space and comfort, a wide range of advanced driver assistance systems, and innovative hybrid technology.
Thomas Sch?fer, CEO of the Volkswagen brand, stated, "This award is an important signal that the 'Volkswagen Boost 2030' strategy is moving in the right direction," adding, "Next year, we plan to introduce six new models with powerful design, top quality, and premium technology."
