From Certification to Practical Skills
Hallym University Achieves Success in Nurturing MICE Professionals through Chuncheon Lifelong Education
The Community Education Center at Hallym University (President Choi Yanghee), in collaboration with Chuncheon City, has successfully completed the "2025 Chuncheon City Lifelong Education University Cooperation Support Project Bomnae Academy" program, which was operated as a qualification course related to the MICE industry from May to October.

This program was designed with a focus on nurturing talent for the MICE industry, reflecting Chuncheon’s regional vision of becoming a city of culture, arts, and tourism.
The qualification courses were conducted in stages, aiming for the acquisition of Level 2 Convention Planner and Level 2 International Exhibition Planner certifications. Participating citizens received intensive, hands-on training covering everything from the basic theory of the exhibition and convention industry to planning, operations, marketing, booth design, and service planning. In particular, the curriculum strengthened both exam preparedness and practical field skills by combining analysis of domestic and international exhibition cases, simulated exhibition and convention planning projects, as well as practice exams and mock tests.
Additionally, in November, in response to learner demand, the center offered a weekend intensive special lecture titled "Drone Filming & Media (Advanced Drone Aerial Photography Course)," which was an advanced version of last year’s drone filming and media basics course.
Kim Iktae, Director of the Community Education Center at Hallym University, stated, “Next year, through the Chuncheon City Lifelong Education University Cooperation Support Project, we will further expand job-related, digital, and culture-arts convergence courses that reflect regional characteristics and needs. We will continue our active efforts to create an open lifelong learning ecosystem where anyone in the community can learn and grow on our university campus.”
Meanwhile, the Community Education Center at Hallym University operates various specialized courses through Bomnae Academy each year, opening the university’s human and material infrastructure to the local community and expanding lifelong education opportunities for citizens.
