In particular, three volunteers who made significant contributions to discovering and supporting marginalized individuals over the past year received awards for outstanding volunteer service.

This year, through the "Good Neighbors" project, the council provided emergency support to a total of 71 households, including the provision of home appliances such as washing machines and refrigerators. Notably, by coordinating 950 cases of private resources, the council has worked to deliver practical, tailored support that goes beyond simple cash assistance to households in need.

Going forward, the council plans to continue utilizing local volunteers to establish a continuous system for identifying welfare blind spots through public-private cooperation, and to further expand the social safety net by connecting and supporting private resources through this project. The council is committed to eliminating welfare blind spots and strengthening public-private partnerships.

Chairman Kim Hyungseok stated, "Good Neighbors volunteers play a vital role in the community by communicating closely and identifying marginalized neighbors," adding, "We will continue to foster close cooperation between the public and private sectors to ensure that no one is left behind in welfare blind spots."
