The Yeongcheon City Youth Support Center announced on November 27 that one of its members was selected as an Outstanding Youth and received the Gyeongsangbuk-do Provincial Council Chairman’s Award at the "2025 Gyeongsangbuk-do Dream Graduation Ceremony" held at the Andong Grand Hotel on November 25.
This event was organized to celebrate the academic achievements of out-of-school youth and to provide positive support and encouragement as they transition into society.
In particular, the awarding of diplomas and various prizes provided a meaningful opportunity to boost the self-esteem of the youth, as well as to foster a sense of social belonging and solidarity.
The graduation ceremony featured a variety of activities, including the awarding of diplomas to those who passed the elementary, middle, and high school equivalency exams; recognition of outstanding youth; awards for outstanding learning support groups; awards for vocational competency enhancement programs; speeches by graduates and letters to their juniors; congratulatory performances; and the screening of support and congratulatory videos.
Yang Mirang, head of the center, said, "The graduation ceremony was an occasion to encourage the steps of the youth who have grown so much until now," adding, "We will continue to provide support for their independence and career exploration."
Meanwhile, Yeongcheon City Youth Support Center Dream is open to any out-of-school youth aged 9 to 24 residing in Yeongcheon, and offers a wide range of services for out-of-school youth, including education, employment, independence, and counseling support.
