Lee Jangwoo, Mayor of Daejeon, stated, "Daejeon is emerging as an innovative city where science and medicine converge." On November 26, Mayor Lee made these remarks while attending the "Regional Essential Medical and Research Enhancement" forum held at the Clinical Education Simulation Center of Chungnam National University Hospital.

Prior to the forum, Mayor Lee toured the center to review the status of workforce training and advanced educational facilities.
