Hive Launches Webtoon "Darkmoon: Two Moons" Simultaneously in Six Countries The Seven Vampire Lords of the Descelis Academy in "Darkmoon: Two Moons." Provided by Hive

On November 26, Hive announced that it will launch the sequel to the popular webtoon "Darkmoon: The Altar of the Moon," titled "Darkmoon: Two Moons," in six countries and regions: Korea, North America, Japan, Latin America, Indonesia, and Thailand.

In Korea, the series will begin serialization on November 28 at 10 p.m. through the Saturday webtoon section of Naver Webtoon. On the first day, episodes 1 through 10 will be released simultaneously, followed by one new episode every Saturday.

"Darkmoon: Two Moons" is the sequel released about two years after "Darkmoon: The Altar of the Moon," which concluded in October 2023. It is an urban fantasy teen romance depicting the story of a girl named Suha and seven vampire boys, created in collaboration with the group Enhypen.

"Darkmoon: The Altar of the Moon" was serialized in 10 languages, including English, Japanese, and Spanish. It ranked No. 1 for 32 consecutive weeks in Germany and for 10 consecutive weeks in Spanish-speaking regions on Sunday webtoon charts. In France, it remained in the top 10 for 60 consecutive weeks, surpassing 200 million views.

The new series expands the narrative around Celen, a girl with the same face as Suha, who appeared at the end of the previous installment. Themes such as the desire for power that has continued since ancient times and secrets surrounding the protagonist are now intertwined with new characters. The relationships and conflicts between the vampire boys and werewolf boys are also further developed. Hive explained, "A new phase unfolds that is accessible even to readers who have not seen the previous series."

Hive, in collaboration with Musinsa, will release six types of school-look apparel inspired by the in-story sports game "Nightball," including varsity jackets, track tops, cardigans, sweatshirts, short-sleeve shirts, and ball caps.

A Hive representative stated, "Just as 'Darkmoon: The Altar of the Moon' received immense love worldwide, we expect 'Darkmoon: Two Moons' to also receive enthusiastic support from global fans thanks to its high-quality story. With the introduction of new characters and an expanded narrative, the series will appeal to readers experiencing it for the first time."
