LS Electric Secures Record $460 Million Data Center Order in the U.S.

Existing Client Expands Orders, Proving Technology and Trust
Transformer Order Backlog Surpasses 2 Trillion Won
"Expected to Grow Further"

LS Electric has secured the largest-ever ultra-high voltage transformer project in North America. The company is accelerating its market strategy in the data center business by leveraging its total solution capabilities across power transmission, transformation, and distribution.

On November 26, LS Electric announced that it had signed a contract worth $312.04 million (approximately 459.8 billion won) with a major U.S. investor-owned utility (IOU) to supply ultra-high voltage transformers. LS Electric will provide ultra-high voltage transformers of up to 525kV to renewable energy power plants, which will serve as the main power sources for large-scale data centers being established in the southeastern United States. The supply period will run from 2027 to 2029.

This order is the largest single ultra-high voltage transformer supply contract that LS Electric has ever signed. It is particularly significant as the company has expanded its supply range from its main product lines of 115kV and 354kV to the 525kV class. With its distribution solutions already recognized locally and its references in the power transmission sector expanding, LS Electric is expected to accelerate the growth of its power infrastructure business for data centers.

In particular, this project is notable because the existing client placed an order for higher voltage products and significantly increased the volume, reaffirming trust in LS Electric's technological competitiveness and supply capabilities.

With this contract, LS Electric's backlog of ultra-high voltage transformer orders has surpassed 2 trillion won. As of the third quarter, the order backlog stands at around 4.1 trillion won, and it is expected to increase further through the fourth quarter and into next year.

An LS Electric representative stated, "This is evidence that global energy infrastructure companies have recognized LS Electric's technological capabilities and acknowledged us as a sustainable partner," adding, "We will secure leadership in the North American ultra-high voltage market, focusing on hyperscale data centers, renewable energy generation, and the power utility sector."
