Hamra-myeon is a typical rural area where most residents are engaged in agriculture and is widely known for the warm-hearted 'Hamra Sambuja House.'

The city planned the tteokbokki festival by leveraging the region's status as a granary, featuring tteokbokki made with local rice cakes. As a specialized festival that combines local cuisine and rural tourism resources, it aims to showcase a new charm of Hamra.

This year's festival, themed 'Hamra, Falling for Tteokbokki,' will present programs for all generations to enjoy together. Of particular note is the themed Tteokbokki Zone, where visitors can sample a variety of tteokbokki styles, including jjajang and cream, all in one place.

Main programs include the themed Tteokbokki Zone, a food market, hands-on experiences such as natural moisturizing cream making, traditional games, cultural performances like magic shows, bubble shows, and acoustic guitar, as well as the sale of agricultural and specialty products, ensuring something for everyone to enjoy.

The city aims for stable festival management by focusing on expanding local resident participation, strengthening safety management systems, and enhancing collaboration with rural experience villages.

Kim Jeonggyu, Chairperson of Hamra Duremadang, said, "Local residents and experience village members have joined forces to embody Hamra's unique warm community spirit," adding, "It will be a festival where visitors can enjoy unique tteokbokki, experiences, and performances in alleys where tradition is alive."

A city official stated, "We will develop the 2025 Iksan Hamra Tteokbokki Festival into a new gourmet festival for Iksan," and added, "We will make thorough preparations so that both citizens and tourists can enjoy the event safely and comfortably."
