Activities such as "Clean Sea" and "Clean Garden" Recognized
KleanNara announced on the 26th that it has become the first company in the paper manufacturing industry to be selected as a 'Regional Social Contribution Recognized Company,' a program organized by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korea National Council on Social Welfare.
The Regional Social Contribution Recognition System, introduced in 2019, certifies the achievements of companies and organizations that have continuously engaged in social contribution activities in collaboration with nonprofit organizations. Companies are selected based on a comprehensive evaluation of their ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management performance and social contribution activities.
KleanNara has carried out a variety of social contribution activities to address local community issues. Key initiatives include: ▲ the 'Clean Sea' beach cleanup volunteer program ▲ the 'Clean Garden' regional garden creation project ▲ support for pet owners in collaboration with the Korea Blood Donor Dog Association ▲ providing meals for seniors through the 'Respectful Dining Table' program ▲ and employee blood donation campaigns with the Korean Red Cross.
In particular, last May, KleanNara participated in the 2025 Seoul International Garden Expo, creating a pet-themed garden called 'Popoland.' Popoland is the fourth such space established, following Hwaseong Barancheon, the Royal Tombs of the Joseon Dynasty's Uireung History and Culture Center, and Cheongju Osong Lake Park, providing a natural retreat for local residents.
The company is also committed to spreading a culture of safety in daily life. In February, KleanNara signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Ministry of the Interior and Safety for social contribution activities related to safety culture. This month, the company launched a 'Child Abduction and Luring Prevention Campaign' with the ministry to raise awareness about child safety. Since last year, KleanNara has been operating a 'Mobile Safety Experience Classroom' booth in Eumseong County, North Chungcheong Province, providing information on the safe use of daily and hygiene products such as wet wipes, toilet paper, and sanitary pads, as part of its ongoing efforts to promote a culture of safety.
A KleanNara representative stated, "Being selected as a Regional Social Contribution Recognized Company is a result of our consistent efforts to grow together with the local community," adding, "We will continue to strengthen our social responsibility based on ESG management and strive to become a company that contributes to sustainable development."
