"PC Payments Account for 90%... Not Reflected in App Market Rankings"
The average daily active users (DAU) for NCSoft's new title, 'Aion 2', has surpassed 1.5 million.
On November 21, NCSoft shared these early results for 'Aion 2'.
'Aion 2' is a next-generation massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) developed with Unreal Engine 5, utilizing the intellectual property (IP) of NCSoft's flagship title 'Aion'. It was simultaneously launched in South Korea and Taiwan at midnight on November 19, and is available on both PC and mobile platforms.
Revenue figures were not disclosed. However, NCSoft explained, "We introduced a proprietary PC payment system at launch, and currently, PC payments account for over 90% of the total. This revenue is not reflected in mobile app market rankings."
According to Mobile Index, as of the previous day, 'Aion 2' ranked fifth in revenue on the Apple App Store, and on this day, it is positioned between 30th and 40th in the real-time rankings on Google Play.
