First Domestic Activity in About Seven Years Since January 2019
Entry to South Korea Restricted for Over 20 Years Since 2002
Singer Yoo Seungjun (Steve Seungjun Yoo), who has been restricted from entering South Korea due to controversy over military service evasion, participated in rapper Justhis's album. After releasing hit songs such as "Scissors," "NaNaNa," and "I Love You, Noona" in the late 1990s, this marks his first activity in Korea in about seven years since his 2019 album "Another Day."

On November 20, Yoo Seungjun featured on "Home Home," the 20th track of rapper Justhis's new album "LIT" (Lost In Translation).
This album consists of a total of 20 tracks, with various talented artists such as Insooni, Bumkey, Ra.D, and Dean participating as featured artists on different songs, drawing attention.
In particular, the final track "Home Home," which features Yoo Seungjun, is a song that criticizes an uncomfortable society, mentioning figures such as Harvey Weinstein, the American film producer who sparked the Me Too movement; John Lennon, who was known for domestic violence; as well as dictators like the Nazis and Kim Il Sung.
Listeners who heard the song at the time wondered about the identity of another rapper's voice besides Justhis, as the featured artist was not listed in the song title, which is usually the norm. Later, it was revealed through behind-the-scenes footage released by Justhis that the featured artist was Yoo Seungjun. In the video, Yoo Seungjun passionately raps while wearing a white short-sleeved T-shirt and a beanie. Justhis did not disclose why he chose Yoo Seungjun as a featured artist.
Previously, in 2002, Yoo Seungjun suddenly acquired U.S. citizenship just before his military enlistment, leading to controversy over military service evasion and resulting in his entry to South Korea being restricted for over 20 years. On his personal YouTube channel in 2021, he consistently claimed, "I am exempt from military service, not a draft dodger." In 2015, at the age of 38, he attempted to enter Korea with an overseas Korean visa (F-4) but was denied, leading him to file an administrative lawsuit, which he won in the Supreme Court.

However, the Consulate General in Los Angeles stated, "The Supreme Court ruling indicated there was a procedural issue in the visa denial process," and again refused to issue Yoo Seungjun a visa. In response, Yoo Seungjun filed a second lawsuit in 2020 and won a final victory in the Supreme Court in 2023. As the Consulate General in Los Angeles once again refused to issue a visa, he is currently in the appeals process for his third lawsuit.
