Lotte Homeshopping Launches Live Commerce Creator Development Programs
Lotte Homeshopping operates a variety of development programs for young people aspiring to become live commerce creators. These programs offer hands-on training and even connect participants to recruitment opportunities, resulting in high competition for enrollment every year.
The 'Creator Class' is part of the 'Win-Win Jobs' talent development program that has been running since 2018. It is a program that supports young people who wish to become live commerce creators, providing them with professional education, live broadcast practice, and overseas training. Since its launch in 2023, the program has completed four sessions, with more than 130 graduates now working in the media industry as show hosts, YouTubers, and more. Trainees also gain practical experience by appearing on Lotte Homeshopping's own mobile live broadcast, 'Kk Shopping,' where they sell products and participate in everything from broadcast planning to content management, making the training highly regarded.

In September, the company introduced the 'Creator University Competition.' By linking university lectures with live commerce, Lotte Homeshopping became the first in the industry to present an industry-academia collaboration model that combines theory and hands-on practice. Over three months, more than 100 students from Yeungnam University, Gachon University, and Dongduk Women's University participated in expert lectures by Lotte Homeshopping live commerce producers and current show hosts, covering topics such as ▲understanding the live commerce market and marketing theory ▲product discovery and seller selection ▲live commerce planning and operation. The students also participated in practical training, selling products directly through 'E-Live.'
This month, as the final part of the curriculum, 15 teams from the three universities hosted a special broadcast titled 'University Competition' on Lotte Homeshopping Live Commerce 'E-Live,' where they sold self-sourced products in two 60-minute sessions. On the 25th of this month, a performance exchange event will also be held. Outstanding teams will be given opportunities for overseas training, and a recruitment linkage program with Lotte Homeshopping partners will be offered to course graduates.
Lee Donggyu, Head of Communications at Lotte Homeshopping, said, "Starting in the second half of this year, we plan to expand the range of job roles and training participants, and to continuously nurture next-generation broadcasting talent through a curriculum that connects collaboration and recruitment opportunities within our company."
