"I Hurt Many People" YouTuber Foot-and-Mouth Disease Announces Retirement After Tzuyang Blackmail Case... Videos Set to Private, Channel Remains YouTuber Foot-and-Mouth Disease. The Asia Business Daily DB

YouTuber Foot-and-Mouth Disease (real name Lee Junhee), who is currently serving a prison sentence for blackmailing fellow YouTuber Tzuyang (real name Park Jeongwon) and extorting money, announced that he has set all videos on his channel to private and will no longer be active as a broadcaster. However, since he has not deleted the channel, some users have raised suspicions that he may be considering selling the channel or making a comeback in the future.

On the 18th, Foot-and-Mouth Disease posted a message titled "I Apologize to the Victims" on his YouTube channel. As he is incarcerated, the message was posted through his legal representative. He began by saying, "I started my YouTube channel with the intention of helping those who have been wronged, but I ended up hurting far too many people."

He continued, "I know I should apologize individually to everyone who claims to have been harmed by me, but I am unable to do so as I have been detained at Suwon Detention Center for one year and two months. I am truly sorry for this. If there are any victims who wish to receive a personal apology from me, please contact Attorney Kim Soyeon, and I will sincerely apologize and apologize again."

He concluded, "A great many people are claiming to have been harmed by my YouTube activities. In this situation, I believe that, at the very least, I must publicly apologize to the victims and retire from broadcasting in order to alleviate their suffering, even if only a little. Therefore, I would like to publicly apologize to the victims and promise not to engage in any further broadcasting activities, regardless of the outcome of my trial."

Since comments have been disabled on the channel, there is no direct response to the post. However, comments on news articles and online communities suggest that many believe deleting the channel is necessary for the apology to be seen as sincere.

One user commented, "You made a living at the expense of others' pain, and now you apologize? If you have even a shred of sincerity, start by deleting your channel."
