Gijang County (Governor Jeong Jongbok) held the "4th Industrial Safety and Health Committee Meeting for 2025" in the county office briefing room on the 17th to strengthen workplace safety and prevent industrial accidents for county employees.

The meeting was attended by Governor Jeong Jongbok, Park Jongchun, Head of the Gijang County Branch of the Busan Metropolitan City Public Workers’ Union, and other representatives of labor and management. Participants shared the status of industrial accidents that occurred at county workplaces during the third quarter of this year, examined the main types and causes of these accidents, and discussed department-specific measures to prevent recurrence.
The main agenda items included: improvements in regular risk assessment results; investigation of harmful factors in musculoskeletal burden work; the plan for workplace environment measurement in the second half of 2025; and the results of regular safety inspections and health consultations for the third quarter. Labor and management representatives worked together to find solutions for each issue and agreed to build an effective safety management system.
Governor Jeong Jongbok stated, "Close cooperation between labor and management is the starting point for preventing industrial accidents," adding, "We will strengthen ongoing safety and health inspections and actively reflect employees’ opinions to continuously raise the level of the county’s safety management."
