KB Kookmin Bank announced on the 19th that it had hosted the ‘2025 KB Good Job Daejeon Job Festival’.

The opening ceremony, held at the Daejeon Convention Center on the same day, was attended by Kim Younghoon, Minister of Employment and Labor, Choi Sunga, Deputy Mayor for Political, Economic and Science Affairs of Daejeon Metropolitan City, Lee Hwanju, President of KB Kookmin Bank, and Park Eunbin, actress and promotional model for KB Kookmin Bank.

Now in its 28th edition, the ‘2025 KB Good Job Daejeon Job Festival’ is the largest single job fair in Korea, with a cumulative total of 1.23 million visitors. To date, more than 6,000 recruiting companies have participated, and 44,000 people have been connected with new jobs.

Over 200 outstanding companies, including Daejeon City’s recommended excellent companies, D-Unicorn companies, youth-friendly small and medium-sized enterprises, large corporation partners, and KOSDAQ-listed firms, participated to introduce high-quality job opportunities. This is expected to revitalize the local employment market and improve young people’s perceptions of small and medium-sized enterprises.

At the fair, various programs were prepared to help participants enhance their employability, including: the KB Financial Group recruitment counseling center; the ‘Career Fitting Zone’ for comprehensive, personalized career consulting for job seekers; the ‘Mirror Interview Zone’ where professional consultants provide on-site feedback on interview videos; the ‘Job Special Lecture & Recruitment Briefing Hall’ featuring branding success strategies from Daejeon’s signature brand ‘Sungsimdang’; a military officer recruitment booth; a job experience center; and the ‘KB Small Business Owner Consulting Zone’ for aspiring entrepreneurs.

In particular, this year’s fair expanded the ‘Culture Space Zone’ to reflect the latest recruitment trend that values ‘culture fit’ over ‘job fit’. Promotional materials highlighting company culture, vision, employee welfare, and actual working environments were provided so job seekers could intuitively understand each company.

For participating companies, a recruitment support grant of 1 million won per regular employee hired, up to a maximum of 10 million won per year, was offered. Outstanding small and medium-sized enterprises that create jobs were eligible for up to a 1.3 percentage point preferential loan rate. To encourage job interviews, the first 300 job seekers received interview support grants. Even after the event, KB Kookmin Bank plans to continue providing various forms of support, such as specialized talent-matching services in cooperation with related organizations.

Kim Younghoon, Minister of Employment and Labor, stated, “I hope that many young people visiting today will find jobs that suit them, and that companies will meet outstanding talent and seize opportunities for growth. The central and local governments, together with the private sector, will form a ‘one team’ to create more opportunities so that young people can work and settle in their local communities through the government’s various job support policies.”

In his welcome speech, Lee Hwanju, President of KB Kookmin Bank, said, “I hope today’s event will be a valuable opportunity for job seekers to find their own jobs and for recruiting companies to discover outstanding talent, fostering mutual growth. We will continue to do our best to be ‘the lifelong financial partner of the people’ and grow together with society.”
