'Desert Fox' Lim Heejeong Donates 35 Million Won Again This Year

Donation to the Korea Leukemia Childhood Cancer Association
Five Years of Continued Kindness Since 2021
A Total of 142 Million Won with Added Fan Club Contributions

'Desert Fox' Lim Heejeong donated 35 million won to the Korea Leukemia Childhood Cancer Association.


Prain Sports, Lim Heejeong's management company, announced on the 19th, "On the previous day, Lim Heejeong, together with her fan club Yesa, donated 35 million won to the Korea Leukemia Childhood Cancer Association. This act of kindness has continued for five consecutive years since 2021, with the athlete and her fans joining forces to practice sharing."

This donation was made by adding Lim Heejeong's personal contribution to the fund raised by her fan club members, which is based on the number of birdies and eagles she recorded at each Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) Tour event. Starting with 20.22 million won in 2021, followed by 30 million won in 2022, 25 million won in 2023, and 32 million won in 2024, the total amount donated over five years has reached 142 million won.


Lim Heejeong has achieved a total of five wins on the KLPGA Tour, including two major championships. She also received the Popularity Award twice, in 2021 and 2022. This year, she finished in the top 10 eight times, including one runner-up and two third-place finishes. Lim Heejeong stated, "As a professional athlete, my desire to have a positive impact on society remains unchanged," adding, "I hope to continue supporting leukemia and childhood cancer patients next year as well."
