The program was designed to improve financial literacy among seniors and prevent financial accidents, particularly in relation to financial fraud targeting the elderly, such as voice phishing.
During the session, participants watched videos of voice phishing cases, learned the definition and key characteristics of financial fraud, reviewed real-life cases and prevention methods, and were instructed on response procedures in the event of becoming a victim.
SBI Savings Bank reported that the case-based, easy-to-understand approach tailored to the senior audience was well received.
A representative from SBI Savings Bank stated, "As digital transformation accelerates, the importance of protective measures for the relatively vulnerable senior population is increasing. We will expand customized financial education for financially marginalized groups to fulfill our social responsibility and take the lead in protecting customer rights and interests as a savings bank."
