At this ceremony, commendations and certificates of appreciation were presented to 35 individuals-including police officers, academics, officials from related organizations, and citizens-who contributed to establishing cyber security in various fields such as cybercrime investigation, building domestic and international cooperation systems, crime prevention, and digital forensics.


This year's Cyber Security Grand Prize was awarded to Lee Dongyeop, Inspector of the Cyber Terror Response Division at the National Police Agency. Inspector Lee is a professional cyber investigator who has worked in the cyber investigation field for 19 years, leading the establishment of the nationwide cyber investigation and digital forensics network and the cyber security monitoring center for the first time, as well as integrating and expanding the cyber investigation system to strengthen the investigative foundation and capabilities of the Korean police.


Kim Hongseok, Team Leader at the Korea Internet & Security Agency, who has actively supported police investigations into information and communications network intrusion crimes threatening the peace and safety of the public-such as the SKT hacking incident and the LG Uplus personal information leak-received a commendation from the Prime Minister.


Yu Jaeseong, Acting Commissioner General of the National Police Agency, stated, "We will do our utmost to enhance the police's cybercrime response capabilities so that we can fully meet the expectations of the public."
