Established in 2023 to Support Research in ESG Management
Yuhan Corporation announced on the 18th that, together with the Korean Academic Society of Professional Management, it held the 3rd Yuhan ESG Academic Awards Ceremony at the Mirae Hall of the University of Seoul in Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul, on the 15th.

The Yuhan ESG Academic Awards is an award program organized by the Korean Academic Society of Professional Management and sponsored by Yuhan Corporation, established to promote academic research in the field of ESG management. It was launched in 2023 to discover and support outstanding research in ESG management theory, policy, and practice both domestically and internationally.
At this year’s 3rd Yuhan ESG Academic Awards, the grand prize was awarded to a joint research project titled “Online Grocery Platforms and Food Waste: Analysis of Platform Operation Factors Based on Indonesian Platform Data,” conducted by Professor Lina Wang of Pennsylvania State University, researcher Salsabila Aisyah Rianda of Seoul National University, Professor Lim Jaehyun, and Professor Park Sungho.
The top excellence award went to the study “Structuring Perceptions in the Institutionalization of ESG: A Comparative Discourse Analysis of Large Corporations and Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises” by researcher Jung Jiyoung and Professor Kim Sangjun of Ewha Womans University. The grand prize winners received a cash prize of 10 million won, while the top excellence award winners received 5 million won in gold and a certificate.
In his congratulatory remarks, Yuhan Corporation Vice President Lee Byungman stated, “This event, which promotes the expansion of ESG research and practice for a sustainable society, is becoming more meaningful every year,” and added, “Yuhan Corporation will continue to work with the academic society for the academic advancement of ESG management and a sustainable future.”
