According to the county on November 18, this regular concert is hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, organized by the Korea Arts & Culture Education Service and Muju Youth Training Center, and sponsored by the Ssangbaekhap Youth Development Foundation, KEPCO KPS, and Muju Catholic Church.

This concert aims to deliver dreams and hope to the local community and youth through music, with a diverse program including “Themes from Capriccio Italien” by Tchaikovsky, “Carmen,” and “Aida.”

In particular, explanations highlighting the listening points of each piece will be provided, which are expected to enhance the audience's understanding and immersion.

Kim Joohyung, Director of the Muju Youth Training Center, said, “This is an opportunity for the 60 members, aged 9 to 16 from the Muju region, to showcase the skills they have honed over the past year,” adding, “Please support the talents and dreams of these children, who have grown under the attentive guidance of their teachers.”

He added, “A video of this performance will be released later through YouTube.”

The Muju Dream Orchestra has been operated by the Muju Youth Training Center since it was selected as a new base institution for the Dream Orchestra in 2020. The orchestra holds classes every Monday and Thursday after school for three hours, providing instruction in violin, viola, cello, double bass, flute, clarinet, bassoon, trumpet, horn, trombone, and percussion instruments.

In addition to the regular concert, the orchestra continues to grow through a variety of activities such as summer camp concerts, community outreach performances, and collaborative performances with small events and organizations, engaging closely with the local community.

Kim Mikyung, head of the Population Vitality and Women & Youth Team at the county, stated, “The Dream Orchestra is a representative cultural and arts program that helps youth build confidence, teamwork, and creativity through playing instruments. Next year, we plan to use hometown donation funds to support the operation of the Dream Orchestra.”

Meanwhile, the county also plans to focus on supporting customized cultural and arts education for youth, including youth club activities, in addition to the Dream Orchestra.
