Integrated Solution Combining AI Skin Analysis and Biomimetic Patch
LG Household & Health Care announced on the 18th that its self-developed 'Hyper Rejuvenating Eye Patch' won the Innovation Award in the Beauty Tech category at CES 2026. This marks the first time LG Household & Health Care has received an Innovation Award at the world's largest consumer electronics show, CES.
The Hyper Rejuvenating Eye Patch is a wearable beauty device that integrates LG Household & Health Care's proprietary skin analysis technology, customized formulation of active ingredients, and tailored light energy control technology. It consists of an artificial intelligence (AI)-based skin diagnosis program, a biomimetic negative pressure patch, a flexible LED patch, and a headband-type controller.

When the device is activated, the AI analyzes aging patterns such as wrinkles, pigmentation, and dark circles around the customer's eyes using big data. Based on these results, it recommends optimal cosmetic active ingredients for the user. The negative pressure patch, which mimics the suction principle of an octopus's sucker, is attached around the eyes to deliver the active ingredients directly into the skin. At the same time, a flexible LED patch, less than 1mm thick, is applied together with the negative pressure patch to provide optimized light care deep within the skin.
The Hyper Rejuvenating Eye Patch features a band-type design, allowing users to keep their hands free during use. The negative pressure patch, secured through a business agreement with the startup Mimetics, has been recognized for its research achievements in leading international journals such as Nature and ACS Nano Journal. The negative pressure patch was first introduced to the market last April under the name 'Skin Activator Patch' by the luxury cosmetic brand The History of Whoo. LG Household & Health Care has also completed applications for patents and trademarks related to the technology and design of the Hyper Rejuvenating Eye Patch.
Following its recent acquisition of the LG Pra.L brand, LG Household & Health Care has been pursuing a variety of new initiatives. Kang Naegyu, CTO of LG Household & Health Care, stated, "With the CES 2026 award for the Hyper Rejuvenating Eye Patch as a starting point, we will focus on convergence research between personalized precision solutions and new wearable products." He emphasized, "LG Household & Health Care will deliver a differentiated customer experience through future beauty tech R&D aimed at achieving skin longevity."
