According to the food and inner beauty industry on November 16, stick-type "Olle Shot" products have been gaining popularity in recent months. Various healthcare brands, including Daesang Wellife, Cellgate, Slowry, and TrueRX, are now selling high-quality olive oil stick products. These small-packaged products offer the convenience of fresh consumption without the need for separate measuring or preparation, and without loss of ingredients.
Promoted as a healthy habit with benefits such as diet support, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects, and slow aging management, these inner beauty foods have become a major trend among women in their 20s and 30s. Interest has grown even further as news spread of celebrities consuming them. The fact that both domestic and international celebrities have introduced this as part of their daily "wellness routine" has had a significant impact. For example, Hollywood actress Penelope Cruz reportedly drinks a spoonful of olive oil on an empty stomach every morning for her diet, while Korean actress Ko Soyoung and popular idol group IVE member Jang Wonyoung have also revealed that they consume lemon juice and olive oil, drawing much attention.
Soaring demand in the inner beauty industry... Olive Young search volume up 25-fold year-on-year
Search volumes for olive oil and lemon juice, the key ingredients for Olle Shot, have surged. According to consumer search data analysis platform Ahatrend, olive oil topped the food and ingredient search rankings on major portals in August with 310,000 searches, surpassing popular menu items like fried chicken, gimbap, and coffee. On Olive Young's online mall, the search volume for lemon juice from January to September jumped by 2,479% compared to the same period last year.
Olive Young is actively introducing related products to match this trend. In particular, single-serving stick-type products are especially popular. Capsule-type olive oil products are also emerging. Currently, leading health functional food companies such as Kolmar BNH, Novarex, and Green Store are launching olive oil capsule products.
