Jeongeup City Launches 'Onnuri Gift Certificate Consumption Coupon' Refund Event

To Be Held at Saemgoeul Market from November 19 to 23

Jeongeup City in North Jeolla Province is launching a refund event for Onnuri gift certificate consumption coupons at Saemgoeul Market from November 19 to 23 in celebration of the kimchi-making season.

According to the city on the 17th, this event has been organized to help stabilize perceived prices and stimulate consumption. Depending on the amount spent on seafood and general purchases, participants can receive up to 20,000 won in gift certificates as a refund.

This refund event is divided into two programs. First, the Onnuri gift certificate refund event for seafood, supported by the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, offers a 10,000 won Onnuri gift certificate for purchases of domestic seafood between 34,000 won and less than 67,000 won during the event period, and a 20,000 won certificate for purchases of 67,000 won or more.

Additionally, Jeongeup City is supporting a consumption coupon program. This program provides a 10,000 won Onnuri gift certificate for purchases between 50,000 won and less than 90,000 won, and a 20,000 won certificate for purchases of 90,000 won or more. Both programs are available on a first-come, first-served basis until the budget is exhausted.

The gift certificate refund location is the customer lounge on the first floor of the Saemgoeul Market Merchants Association office, and it operates from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Each person can participate only once, and proxy refunds are not allowed. To receive a refund, participants must bring their purchase receipt (card or cash receipt) and identification during the event period.

Mayor Lee Haksoo stated, "This refund event was prepared to revitalize the traditional market and ease the burden on consumers during the kimchi-making season," adding, "We hope many citizens will visit and participate."
