The event, held on November 14, was organized and hosted by the Masan Merchants Association. It was designed to enhance communication and cooperation among merchants in traditional markets and shopping districts, aiming to strengthen their competitiveness in the rapidly changing distribution environment and to promote sustainable market growth.

Acting Mayor Jang Geumyong of Changwon Special City, provincial and city council members, executives of the Changwon Traditional Market Merchants Association, and over 200 merchants attended the workshop.

In particular, the Kolon Shopping Mall Merchants Association, which contributed to the revitalization of traditional markets and shopping districts, received a commendation. Practical lectures were also held to strengthen the merchants' business management capabilities, including 'Easy-to-Understand Tax Stories,' 'Fire Insurance Project Guide,' 'Introduction to Major Projects of the Industrial Complex,' and 'Education to Prevent Illegal Distribution of Onnuri Gift Certificates.'

Kim Sangsoo, President of the Masan Merchants Association, said, "Although we are going through difficult times due to high inflation and an economic downturn, I hope this workshop will help merchants unite their capabilities to create a more vibrant and competitive traditional market."

Acting Mayor Jang Geumyong stated, "Traditional markets are the heart of the local economy, filled with the warmth and lives of our citizens. The passion and dedication of our merchants are the driving force behind Changwon's economy. We will continue to implement various support policies so that traditional markets can remain a strong foundation for the local economy."
