This performance is part of the Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture’s Resident Company Support Program, designed to expand cultural and artistic opportunities for local residents and to invigorate the cultural scene in the community.

Under the baton of conductor Chung Chiyong, violinist Lee Hyo and the Trinity Philharmonic Orchestra will take the stage together to present Mendelssohn’s signature lyricism and romantic melodies. The main program features the "Violin Concerto in E minor, Op. 64" and the "Symphony No. 4 in A major, Op. 90 (Italian)."

The "Violin Concerto in E minor, Op. 64," which is on the program, is regarded as one of Mendelssohn’s masterpieces, harmoniously blending lyricism, virtuosity, and structural perfection, and is considered one of the most perfect Romantic concertos. In addition, the "Symphony No. 4 (Italian)" was inspired by the composer’s travels in Italy, and is a bright and lively symphony that musically depicts the Mediterranean sunshine, energy, and a sense of leisure.

Yongsan District hopes that this concert will allow residents to easily experience high-quality classical music and find rest and inspiration through art. Admission is free and seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Park Heeyoung, Mayor of Yongsan District, said, “We will continue to promote a variety of cultural performances and arts programs so that residents can always enjoy culture and the arts up close, making Yongsan a city where art is alive.”
