The "Challenge! Smoking and Drinking Prevention Golden Bell" event, organized by Muan County in South Jeolla Province to foster healthy habits among teenagers and raise awareness about the prevention of smoking and drinking, concluded successfully.

The county held the prevention Golden Bell event for 618 students from six elementary, middle, and high schools in the area, where participants learned about the dangers of tobacco and alcohol. The preliminary round featured a true-or-false quiz covering the physical effects of smoking and drinking, related diseases, and legal penalties. In the final round, students answered short-answer questions to learn about changes in government policies on smoking cessation and alcohol reduction, as well as trends in public awareness improvement.

Especially noteworthy was the "No Smoking Declaration Ceremony" held at the end of the event, where students pledged their commitment to quitting smoking and shared their resolutions to promote the health of their families and a pleasant school environment, adding further significance to the occasion.

A satisfaction survey conducted after the event showed an 88% satisfaction rate with the education, 87% understanding of the content, and 86% fulfillment of expectations, demonstrating the high level of interest and enthusiastic participation among the teenagers.

Song Miyoung, Head of the Health Promotion Division at Muan County, stated, "Through this Golden Bell event, I hope that young people will gain a clear understanding of the dangers of smoking and drinking and be empowered to make healthy choices on their own. We will continue to expand customized programs to promote youth health and create a smoke-free environment."
