The Masan Fire Station in Changwon Special City, Gyeongnam, conducted a joint firefighting drill with public and private sectors at Standard Factory Building No. 6 (Shinsung Delta Tech) within the Masan Free Trade Zone to foster a fire prevention atmosphere and promote a culture of safety.
The drill, held on November 13, was organized to strengthen the initial response capabilities of factory personnel and to establish an organic cooperation system with the fire station, aiming to minimize casualties and property damage in the event of a disaster.
The training simulated a virtual fire source to closely resemble a real-life situation and was conducted in stages, focusing on practical exercises such as fire reporting, initial response and evacuation guidance, prevention of fire spread, proficiency training for the self-protection firefighting team, as well as fire safety and CPR education.
Bae Ikseop, Head of Yangbong 119 Safety Center, stated, "Through organic firefighting training between the fire station and the self-protection firefighting team, we will do our utmost to create a fire-safe nation and an environment of fire prevention together with the public."
Jang Changmun, Chief of Masan Fire Station, said, "Systematic joint training between the fire station and the self-protection firefighting team is a key element in creating a safe environment from fire. We will continue to do our best to establish a fire prevention environment together with the public through prevention-focused firefighting activities in cooperation with local industrial facilities."
