"Nurturing Youth Dreams"... Dongmyung University and Grandmoment Launch Joint Project

Training Youth Counselors, Field Practice, and Revitalizing Tourism
Collaboration in Various Areas Including Career and College Admission Support

The university and the youth hostel have joined forces on a project to nurture the dreams of young people.


On November 13, Dongmyung University (President Lee Sangcheon) announced that it had signed a memorandum of understanding with Grandmoment Youth Hostel (Managing Director Park Sooyoung) to support community contribution and youth career and college admission assistance.


Through this agreement, the two institutions plan to collaborate in various fields, including: training and field practice for youth counselors, joint research and projects to revitalize local tourism, and youth career and college admission experience programs.

The signing ceremony, held at Dongmyung University on November 12, was attended by Park Sooyoung, Managing Director, and Joo Jiyeon, Chief Manager, from Grandmoment Youth Hostel, as well as Kim Jaeseok, Director of Admissions and Public Relations, and Koo Minsu, Head of Admissions, from Dongmyung University.


Park Sooyoung, Managing Director, stated, "We will do our utmost to contribute to nurturing local talent through a variety of career and college admission experiences for young people, as well as field practice for training prospective youth counselors."


Kim Jaeseok, Director, emphasized, "Dongmyung University, with its motto of practical industry-academia education, will pursue diverse collaborations with Grandmoment in areas such as community contribution, youth career and college admission experience programs, and the development of practical talent."


Grandmoment has recently operated a variety of programs, including Urban Farmer Youth Farm, Ask the Stars!, Movie Night Moment (a free weekend movie screening for young citizens), and Youth Dream Sharing Space (a youth art exhibition). Grandmoment also hosted the Dongmyung University Small Business Digital College Performance Sharing Event on October 17 and the 2025 Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam Open Innovation Forum on October 15. The Busan Metropolitan City Office of Education's 'Parent Communication and Empathy Talk Concert,' attended by around 400 parents from kindergartens, daycare centers, and elementary schools, also drew attention when it was held in September.


Dongmyung University, which will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2027, recently presented a new vision: "A Leading University for Practical Education Creating the Future through Industry-Academia-Community Collaboration," and set the goal of becoming the No. 1 regional hub university for practical education by 2030.


The university pursues 'TIUMS' as its core values, which include: Transdisciplinary, Innovation Ecosystem, User-Centric, Metamorphosis, and Sustainability & Sharing.
