Declaration of the "Startup City Gwangyang" Vision
Gwangyang City in South Jeolla Province announced that it will host a global lecture featuring broadcaster Tyler Rasch at the "3rd Gwangyang Startup Concert 2025," which will be held at Baegun Art Hall at 7 p.m. on November 18.
The "Startup Concert" is a flagship program of the "Gwangyang Venture Valley Development Project," jointly promoted by Jeollanam-do, Gwangyang City, and POSCO Holdings. It aims to spread the spirit of challenge and innovation among young people, aspiring entrepreneurs, and citizens, thereby contributing to the expansion of the local startup culture.
At the first and second concerts, held in July and August, respectively, Ko Myunghwan, a comedian-turned-writer and entrepreneur, and Kim Gwanhoon, CEO of the global franchise "Dookki Tteokbokki," took the stage as speakers. They shared their practical startup journeys and the spirit of challenge, receiving enthusiastic responses from the audience.
The upcoming third concert, scheduled ahead of the opening of "Change Up Ground Gwangyang" (set for November 26), is expected to mark the official declaration of Gwangyang City's leap forward as a startup city.
Tyler Rasch, who will deliver the lecture, is known for his insightful presentations on corporate growth strategies, drawing on his experiences across diverse cultures and his global business acumen. In this lecture, he will address "Globalization of Enterprises," making the global mindset and entrepreneurial spirit essential for founders easy to understand and engaging.
Both QR pre-registration and on-site registration are available. Prior to the lecture, from 6:30 p.m., there will be a photo session and autograph signing event. In addition, commemorative gifts will be provided to participants.
Lee Hwayeop, Director of the Future Industry Bureau, stated, "Tyler Rasch's lecture will be a valuable opportunity to provide young people preparing for startups with insight and inspiration for the global market," adding, "Gwangyang City will build an ecosystem that encompasses all stages of entrepreneurship centered around Change Up Ground, and will grow into the leading startup city representing South Jeolla Province."
