Collaboration for Community-Based Educational Programs
and Cultivation of Future Talent
Eunpyeong District in Seoul (District Mayor Kim Mikyung) announced on November 13 that it had signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education for the establishment of a region-centered educational cooperation system and the cultivation of future talent through the 'Eunpyeong Education Cooperation Special Zone.'

The district held the signing ceremony on November 11 at the Galhyeon Youth Center. The event was attended by Kim Mikyung, Mayor of Eunpyeong District, Jeong Geunsik, Superintendent of the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education, officials from the Western Education Support Office and local youth organizations, as well as local middle school students.
Under this agreement, Eunpyeong District, schools, and the local community will work together to create a happy educational environment for students and jointly promote educational projects utilizing local resources and infrastructure.
The main points of the agreement include operating educational programs that reflect regional characteristics, strengthening community-linked education to foster future competencies, establishing an integrated support system tailored to students, and expanding career and academic guidance education.
Kim Mikyung, Mayor of Eunpyeong District, stated, "Based on a strong cooperative system with the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education, we will strive to ensure that students are happy, parents feel secure, and the local community grows together through education."
