"On-Site Tax Consultation Services Tailored for Small Business Owners"
Jeongeup City in North Jeolla Province will operate a “Visiting Village Tax Accountant Consultation Center” at the Saemgoeul Market Merchant Training Center on November 19.
According to the city on November 13, this consultation center will provide practical, easy-to-understand guidance from experts on tax-related inquiries that frequently arise during business operations, such as tax filing, value-added tax, and local tax appeals.
Additionally, the center will offer practical business support information, including tax-saving strategies and tax management know-how, which is expected to help enhance the tax capabilities of small business owners.
The “Village Tax Accountant Program” is a social contribution initiative in which tax accountants volunteer their expertise to provide free tax consultations to small business operators, rural residents, and low-income individuals. The city is actively utilizing this program to alleviate citizens’ tax burdens and to promote a fair and transparent tax culture.
Previously, on October 29, the city held a consultation session for returning farmers and new rural residents, which received high satisfaction from participants. By expanding the target audience to include small business owners with this tailored consultation, the city aims to further improve the accessibility and effectiveness of its tax administration services.
Mayor Lee Haksoo stated, “The city is continuously expanding tax administration services that provide practical assistance in citizens’ daily lives. Going forward, we will further strengthen tax consultations and taxpayer support tailored to citizens’ needs through the ‘Visiting Village Tax Accountant Consultation Center,’ and we will strive to create a friendly and trustworthy tax administration.”
