Holding 12 Regional Meetings During Tenure
IBK Industrial Bank of Korea announced on November 12 that, as part of its field-oriented management, it held an on-site meeting for small and medium-sized enterprises at the Busan International Financial Center (BIFC), inviting more than 20 representatives of SMEs based in Busan.
The SME representatives who attended the meeting shared a variety of opinions, including the management difficulties caused by the economic downturn and labor shortages, as well as the need for support for shipbuilding, marine industries, and export companies.
Since taking office in 2023, Kim Sungtae, President of IBK Industrial Bank of Korea, has continued to practice field-oriented management by holding 12 on-site meetings across the country, including the Seoul metropolitan area, Chungcheong, Honam, and Gyeongsang regions, striving to directly address the challenges faced by SMEs.
At the meeting, President Kim said, "It was a meaningful occasion where I could directly listen to a wide range of opinions from companies that have led economic growth through traditional manufacturing to innovative startups that will shape the future. We will make supporting SMEs in overcoming crises our top priority and actively expand both financial and non-financial support. At the same time, we will do our utmost to secure future growth engines and to identify and nurture companies with outstanding technological capabilities."
