This briefing session was organized to share the medical and care linkage model accumulated through the pilot project with other local governments and to promote the spread of regionally tailored welfare systems.
During the session, specific implementation cases were introduced, focusing on the following topics: directions for identifying medical, nursing, and care recipients; the process of establishing a cooperation system among public health centers, the National Health Insurance Service, and medical institutions; strategies for establishing a delivery system at the town and township level; and plans to expand the "Pocheon-type Basic Care Service." Pocheon City shared practical know-how on building an integrated medical and care support system based on actual operational results and cases.
Based on the results of this pilot project, Pocheon City is working to strengthen the linkage between medical services and care, as well as to address care blind spots within the region. In particular, the city aims to establish the foundation for the "Pocheon-type Basic Care Project" so that residents in need of care, such as the elderly and people with disabilities, can lead healthy and stable lives within the community, and plans to expand it step by step.
In addition, the city is further strengthening its cooperation system with related organizations, including the public health center, the Pocheon branch of the National Health Insurance Service, the Pocheon-Cheorwon branch of the National Pension Service, and 14 administrative welfare centers in towns and townships, to ensure the stable establishment of the integrated care system.
A Pocheon City official stated, "During the pilot project period, we will support a variety of integrated care services and ensure the stable establishment of the local care system," adding, "When we move forward with the main project, we will further develop and complete a more substantial and sustainable 'Pocheon-type Integrated Care Model.'"
