Paris Jackson Reveals Nose Injury: "Drugs Ruined My Life... Never Do Drugs"

"When I breathe through my nose, it makes a loud whistling sound"
"It's been bothering me since I was 20"

Paris Jackson, the daughter of the late Michael Jackson and an actress and model, has confessed that she suffered aftereffects from drug use.

On November 10 (local time), Paris Jackson revealed in a video posted to her TikTok account that she is "struggling with a perforated septum." This condition refers to a hole in the inner wall of the nose.

She used her phone's flashlight to show a small hole in the middle of her nose and said, "When I breathe through my nose, it makes a really loud whistling sound." She continued, "It's for exactly the reason you think," and urged, "Never do drugs." She emphasized, "Drugs ruined my life."

Jackson joked, "I've been bothered by this hole in my nose since I was 20," and added, "It's big enough to thread a spaghetti noodle through."

However, she said she does not want to undergo surgery to repair the condition. She explained, "If I had such an intense surgery, I would have to take medication," indicating she does not want to be exposed to opioid painkillers again. She added that she has been drug-free for six years.

According to U.S. entertainment outlet People, Jackson's confession comes about a month after she spoke about her journey to sobriety at the 35th Friendly House Awards held in Los Angeles (LA) on October 11. Friendly House is a rehabilitation program for women recovering from trauma. Jackson received the "Shining Star Award" in collaboration with the organization.

In her speech at the time, Jackson mentioned quitting drugs and said, "It wasn't just about getting my life back. I got a better life." In her acceptance remarks, she said, "Helping someone develop conscious effort has been the greatest act of my life," and added, "I pray that I can continue to help others in the future."
