Personal Mate “Nana” and Special AI Mates Available
Group Chat and Other Features Coming Soon
On November 12, Kakao announced the launch of the web version of its artificial intelligence (AI) agent app service, Kanana. With this release, users can now access Kanana’s features from their PCs as well.
The web version of Kanana can be accessed by visiting the Kanana web page. Existing mobile app users can log in using their Kakao account to use the service.

At the initial launch, the web version of Kanana will focus on personal mate features. Group chat rooms and other functionalities available in the Kanana app will be gradually added through future updates.
On the main screen, users can interact with their personal AI mate, Nana. Additional special AI mates can be selected from the list on the left side of the screen. Last month, Kakao introduced five new special AI mates in the Kanana mobile app update: Tarot, Saju (fortune-telling), Challenge, Study Coaching, and Insurance Consultation.
The web version also features a “Learn More About Kanana” menu, which introduces mates by topic and provides information on Kanana’s various features and the latest updates.
Kakao plans to gradually add the features currently available on the Kanana mobile app to the web version as well.
Kim Jonghan, Performance Leader for Kakao Kanana, stated, “We have expanded the platform so that more users can experience the Kanana service,” adding, “By sequentially adding new features, we will continue to broaden our AI agent service from a mobile-centered environment to a wider range of platforms.”
