Two More Bodies Recovered Overnight on November 12
Two Victims Still Trapped... Location of One Remains Unknown
Two more bodies were recovered overnight from the site of the Ulsan thermal power plant collapse.
According to the National Fire Agency on November 12, firefighters found and recovered the bodies of two men in their 60s who had been buried in the collapse-one at 10:14 p.m. the previous night, and another at 5:19 a.m. on the same day.
As a result, the official death toll among the seven people trapped in this accident has risen to five.
The remaining two individuals are still buried. The location of one has been identified, while the whereabouts of the other remain unknown.
Fire authorities are continuing their search and rescue operations for these individuals.
Previously, on November 6, Boiler Tower No. 5, which was undergoing dismantling at Korea East-West Power's Ulsan Thermal Power Headquarters in Nam-gu, Ulsan, collapsed. Of the nine workers present at the site at the time, seven were buried in the accident.
