[Market Focus] Kumho Engineering & Construction Surges Over 5% on Four Consecutive Profitable Quarters

Kumho Engineering & Construction saw a strong performance on November 11. Investor sentiment appears to have improved following news of four consecutive profitable quarters.


As of 3:12 p.m. on the same day, Kumho Engineering & Construction shares were trading at 3,570 won on the Korea Exchange, up 5.47% from the previous trading day. The stock opened at 3,385 won and at one point during the session rose as high as 3,830 won.


On this day, Kumho Engineering & Construction announced that its consolidated operating profit for the third quarter of this year was 15.4 billion won, turning a profit compared to the same period last year. The company has now posted a profit for four consecutive quarters since returning to profitability in the fourth quarter of last year. Revenue rose 35.2% to 523.4 billion won, and net profit also turned positive at 7.7 billion won.


On a cumulative basis for the first three quarters, the company achieved revenue of 1.5226 trillion won, operating profit of 37.3 billion won, and net profit of 18.9 billion won, showing significant improvement in both revenue and profit compared to the same period last year. Kumho Engineering & Construction also stated that its financial structure is improving, including enhanced liquidity.
