Namwon City in North Jeolla Province will open the "Namwon Bio Testing Center" in July next year to revitalize the local bioindustry and secure a research foundation.
According to the city on November 11, the construction of the Namwon Bio Testing Center is a project under the Ministry of Health and Welfare with a total project budget of 19 billion won. The center will be housed in a four-story building with a building area of 1,081 square meters and a total floor area of 4,066 square meters. It will serve as a specialized bio testing and research center, featuring: ▲ (1st floor) a bio promotion hall and corporate meeting rooms ▲ (2nd floor) cosmetic skin clinical trial facilities ▲ (3rd floor) facilities for testing and certification of cosmetics and other bio products ▲ (4th floor) spaces for bio companies and shared equipment rooms.
In preparation for the opening, the Namwon Bio Industry Research Institute is pursuing a multifaceted promotional strategy to build a collaborative network with local companies. This includes ▲ briefing sessions for companies ▲ participation in industry exhibitions ▲ distribution of promotional leaflets and videos ▲ operation of online promotional channels.
By utilizing leaflets, the center is actively promoting its main functions, available equipment, and testing items during corporate meetings and various conferences. In addition, a "customized support program for companies" will be launched in line with the opening of the center.
After opening, the center aims to secure an average daily demand of 15 cases. To achieve this, it will implement demand-driven strategies such as ▲ shortening certification and approval periods through rapid testing and inspection services ▲ reducing costs through skin clinical trial-linked promotions. The service area will be expanded from the Jeonbuk region to the entire southwestern region, and a customized support system will be established to meet the needs of companies and provide demand-oriented services.
The center will offer a wide range of testing and analysis services for cosmetic raw materials and finished products, including ▲ ingredient analysis ▲ microbiological and safety testing ▲ skin irritation evaluation ▲ efficacy verification.
In particular, by packaging testing and inspection items into integrated analysis solutions that enable one-stop product certification, the center aims to reduce the burden on companies and support efficient quality management systems.
A city official stated, "We will do our best to develop this into a one-stop bioindustry support platform encompassing research, certification, production, and workforce training, so that Namwon can grow into the central hub of the bioindustry in the southwestern region of Korea."
