Jung Naeun of Hwasun County Office Wins Medals at Badminton Championships

"First Place in Mixed Doubles, Third Place in Women's Doubles"

Hwasun County, South Jeolla Province, announced on November 11 that Jung Naeun, a member of the Hwasun County Office badminton team, won first place in mixed doubles and third place in women's doubles at the 2025 Iksan Victor Korea Masters Badminton Championships, which was held in Iksan, North Jeolla Province, from November 4 to 9.

The pair of Jung Naeun (Hwasun County Office) and Kim Jaehyun (Yonex) defeated the team of Wang Chan (Gimcheon City Hall) and Kim Yujeong (Samsung Life Insurance) 2-0 in the semifinals of the mixed doubles, advancing to the finals. There, they beat the Malaysian duo of Jimmy Wong and Lai Pei Jing 2-0 to claim the championship title.

In the women's doubles, Jung Naeun (Hwasun County Office) and Lee Yeonwoo (Samsung Life Insurance) overcame the Thai team of Benyapa Aimsaard and Sabrina Sophita Wedler 2-0 in the quarterfinals to reach the semifinals. However, after a close match against the Japanese pair of Hinata Suzuki and Nao Yamakita, they lost 1-2 and finished in third place.
