Three-Day Online Vote from November 11 to 13
Residents to Directly Select Outstanding Active Administration Cases
Geochang County in South Gyeongsang Province will conduct an online vote by county residents from November 11 to November 13 to select the 'Outstanding Active Public Officials and Best Practices for the Second Half of 2025.'
This vote has been organized to allow residents to directly evaluate and encourage the efforts of public officials who have brought about tangible changes in the lives of the community.
Participation is simple. Residents can access the Geochang County Office website and cast their vote in the 'Survey' section under the 'Resident Participation' menu. Each resident may participate once. The county plans to randomly select 100 participants from among the voters and present them with a Geochang Love Gift Certificate worth 10,000 won.
There are 12 active administration cases nominated this time, and the results of the online vote will account for approximately 30% of the final evaluation score. The remaining 70% will be determined by the evaluation score of the Active Administration Committee, ensuring that the selection of outstanding public officials follows a fair and objective process. Selected public officials will receive benefits such as additional points in performance evaluations and priority selection for training programs.
Geochang County aims to use the selection of outstanding active public officials to voluntarily spread a 'culture of active administration' within the public sector and to create a forum for sharing the efforts of officials who have proactively identified problems and proposed solutions in the field, rather than simply evaluating performance.
A county official stated, "We hope that by allowing residents to participate directly in the evaluation, the active administration of public officials will be further motivated and lead to greater achievements," adding, "We expect this to help spread a proactive and creative administrative culture throughout the public sector."
