President Lee Sends Written Congratulatory Message to Democratic Party Regional Chairpersons' Workshop
President Lee Jaemyung emphasized on November 10 that the party and the government must operate as "one team" in managing state affairs.
In a written congratulatory message delivered at the Democratic Party's regional committee chairpersons' workshop held at the Konjiam Resort Convention Center in Gwangju, Gyeonggi Province, on November 10, President Lee stated, "As proven in the last presidential election, we are strongest when we are united," adding, "I am pleased to stand with you as comrades who share the responsibilities of the ruling party and as long-time colleagues." The message was read on his behalf by Kang Hoonshik, Chief Presidential Secretary.
President Lee further said, "It was because of our comrades that we were able to usher in a new era of peace, overcome the darkness of insurrection and the crisis of democracy, and firmly establish the fourth democratic government," adding, "I will faithfully carry out my presidential duties, trusting in comrades who share the same vision and move toward the same goal."
Meanwhile, after reading the message, Chief Secretary Kang said, "Please unite strongly around Representative Jeong Cheongrae and Floor Leader Kim Byungki, with the Democratic Party at the center," and added, "The presidential office will also provide strong support."
