Free of Charge
Iksan City in North Jeolla Province will operate the "World's First Handcrafted Travel" program at the Moin Travel Forest Library every Saturday from November 22 to December 13, 2025.
According to the city on November 10, this program is designed for first to third grade elementary school students and is a cultural exploration for children to learn about the cultures and symbolic landmarks of countries around the world through hands-on craft experiences.
Each session, participating children will create representative crafts from different countries, naturally learning about cultural symbols and the meanings of traditions. This is expected to provide an opportunity for children to experience the diversity of world cultures, going beyond a simple crafting class.
Registration opens at 10 a.m. on November 12 and will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis through the Iksan City Integrated Library website. For more details, please contact the Moin Travel Forest Library.
A city official stated, "This will be a time for children to learn with their hands and experience with their eyes, helping them understand the diversity of the world," adding, "We hope that this cultural journey, enjoyed like play, will help the library become a more familiar and welcoming place of learning."
