This contest was organized to help international students improve their Korean language skills and to promote cultural exchange among students of various nationalities. A total of 27 international students participated, representing several departments including the Department of Korean Language, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Department of Electrical Engineering, Department of Electric Vehicle Engineering, Department of Semiconductor and Electronic Industry, and the K-Global Department. After the preliminary round, 12 students advanced to the finals.

The participants gave presentations on topics such as "My Future Dreamed at Dong-Eui Science University," "Studying in Korea Means ○○ to Me," and "K-Culture Experiences in Korea." As a result of the judging, ALIJONOV SANJARBEK (Sanzharbek) from Uzbekistan won the grand prize.

Sanzharbek said, "When a grandmother in Busan told me 'Yok boiso' after my part-time job, I was surprised at first, but now I understand the warmth behind those words," adding, "I want to develop my expertise in mechanical engineering in Korea and become a bridge connecting Korea and my hometown."

Kim Taekyung, Director of the Office of International Cooperation at Dong-Eui Science University, said, "This contest was a meaningful event where international students could showcase their Korean language achievements and receive support in adapting to both their studies and the local community."

Last year, Dong-Eui Science University was selected as a certified university for both undergraduate and language training programs in the Educational Internationalization Competency Certification System. The university also operates the "Global Life Guide" faculty advisor program to help international students adapt smoothly to local life and to support their settlement and employment in Busan.
