Kim Gi-hyeon Accused of Having a Character More Despicable Than Yoon Sukyeol
Oh Sehoon Criticized for Media Suppression and Called a "Second Chun Doohwan"
Jiwon Park, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea representing Haenam, Wando, and Jindo in South Jeolla Province, sharply criticized First Lady Kim Keonhee, People Power Party lawmaker Kim Gi-hyeon, and Seoul Mayor Oh Sehoon, all of whom have been at the center of various political controversies since the December 3 Martial Law, asking, "Why are they like that?"
On November 8, Park wrote on his Facebook page, "Today is a day when Kim Keonhee, Kim Gi-hyeon, and Oh Sehoon have all managed to offend," adding, "Kim Keonhee is the world's number one gold medalist in taking bribes."
Directing his criticism at Kim Gi-hyeon, a former leader of the People Power Party, Park said, "Former Chairman Kim is a petty husband. If he tries to pin what he did on his wife, it shows a character even more despicable than Yoon Sukyeol's," and continued, "During the party leadership race, the joint statement by first-term lawmakers that ousted Na Kyungwon was a quid pro quo, not some ceremonial gift. If it were just ceremonial, wouldn't a scarf have sufficed?"
Regarding the Roger Vivier clutch bag seized by the special prosecutor team from the home of former President Yoon Sukyeol and his wife on November 6, Kim Gi-hyeon has come under public scrutiny after releasing a statement on the same day, saying, "After I was elected party leader in March 2023, my wife gave one clutch bag to First Lady Kim Keonhee as a gift."
Park also criticized Mayor Oh Sehoon, who appeared before the special prosecutor alongside political broker Myung Taegyun, saying, "Mayor Oh is a suppressor of the press who shut down broadcaster TBS and drove out Kim Eo-jun from News Factory," and added, "He is a second Chun Doohwan. Myung Taegyun may exaggerate, but everything he said was backed by evidence and was the truth."
Park concluded by saying, "Perhaps all those involved in the insurrectionist forces are just like that."
