The city of Gumi, North Gyeongsang Province, announced that an estimated 90,000 visitors attended the first day of the 2025 Gumi Ramen Festival, which opened on November 7.
This year's festival, held under the theme of "ORIGINAL," is taking place around Gumi Station and the Munhwaro area. From the very first day, the city center has been filled with crowds, continuing the festival's vibrant atmosphere.
In particular, the world's longest ramen restaurant, stretching 475 meters, recorded sales of 120 million won on the opening day alone, drawing a constant stream of citizens and tourists.

The festival's signature content, a five-item package of Nongshim's "Freshly Fried Ramen," proved explosively popular.
A total of 144,000 ramen servings were sold in just one day, generating 108 million won in sales. The five-item set, presented in a special transparent vinyl bag, captured the attention of visitors.
This year, a new QR code ordering system was introduced, allowing guests to enjoy ramen without long queues. As a result, waiting times were significantly reduced, and visitor satisfaction reportedly increased greatly.
Gumi Mayor Kim Jangho stated, "This festival has become an event where citizens and tourists can laugh and enjoy themselves together over a bowl of ramen," adding, "We will do our utmost to ensure that this festival not only revitalizes the local economy but also establishes Gumi as a new urban tourism and cultural destination."
He continued, "The festival runs through November 9. I hope everyone will come to downtown Gumi with family, friends, or loved ones and fully enjoy the taste and fun of ramen over the remaining weekend."
