[Photo] Culture Minister Voices Opposition to Redevelopment at Jongmyo Shrine

On November 7, Choi Hwi-young, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, visited Jongmyo Shrine together with Heo Min, Administrator of the National Heritage Administration. After touring the main hall, he stated at a press conference, "We will take every possible measure to protect our cultural heritage and will take the lead in doing so." This statement comes after the Supreme Court finalized a ruling against the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the plaintiff, in the lawsuit seeking to nullify the resolution on the amended Seoul Metropolitan Government Cultural Heritage Protection Ordinance.
