This program targets children aged 6 to 7, who are particularly vulnerable to infectious diseases, and consists of practical activities such as watching animated videos and participating in handwashing exercises. The curriculum is designed to help children easily understand the concepts of infectious diseases, prevention methods, proper cough etiquette, and handwashing techniques, all tailored to their level of understanding.

In particular, the program utilizes a "View Box," allowing children to visually confirm germs remaining on their hands, thereby naturally raising their awareness about the importance of handwashing.

During the first half of the year, Guro District completed education for a total of 337 children at 16 public and private daycare centers. In the second half, from October 14 to November 20, the district is continuing on-site education by visiting 12 kindergartens and daycare centers. For more information, inquiries can be directed to the Infectious Disease Response Team at the Guro District Public Health Center.

Jang Inhong, Mayor of Guro District, stated, "We hope that this education will help children develop habits such as handwashing and proper cough etiquette as part of their daily lives," adding, "We also expect it to be effective in preventing outbreaks of group infections."
