Icheon City in Gyeonggi Province will host the '2025 Icheon Urban-Rural Exchange Direct Market' over two days, from November 15 to 16, at the first parking lot of Seolbong Park.
This event, organized for the first time this year, aims to increase farm income and create a space for urban-rural cooperation by selling and promoting high-quality agricultural products and processed goods produced directly by local farms and rural experience villages.
Member farms of Icheon Nadeuri and farms from local rural experience villages will participate in the market, operating direct sales booths for a variety of local specialties, including Icheon rice, seasonal fruits, and processed foods.
Icheon Nadeuri, the organization hosting the event, was designated as the Urban-Rural Exchange Center of Icheon City in 2016 and has been working to promote rural experience tourism and revitalize urban-rural exchanges in Icheon.
Kim Kyunghee, Mayor of Icheon, stated, "By linking Icheon's abundant rural resources with experience tourism content, we will strengthen the foundation for local farms' self-reliance and expand opportunities for urban-rural exchange that both citizens and tourists can enjoy together."
