Unveiling 'Agent N' with Advanced On-Service AI
Shopping Agent and 'AI Tab' for Search to Launch in First Half of Next Year
Sovereign AI 2.0 Strategy Revealed... Building an Industry-Specific AI Ecosystem
"We Will Help Korea Become a Top 3
#A man in his 20s, referred to as Mr. A, who works in an office, recently accessed the Naver Plus Store to purchase running gear, a hobby he recently started. When he asked the chatbot-style 'Shopping Agent' featured on the main page to recommend running outfits, the agent suggested running clothes that suited him. The agent analyzed information such as Mr. A's search history, past purchase records, recently viewed items, and body type details he entered to provide recommendations. Through conversations with the agent, he could compare prices for each product or receive suggestions for running outfits in different designs. When Mr. A selected a product and requested payment, the entire transaction was completed at once using Naver Pay.
Naver is set to fully introduce artificial intelligence (AI) agents across its major services. Moving beyond its previous strategy of integrating AI into services, Naver will now apply 'agentic AI'-which can predict user behavior and take real action-across its entire service lineup. Additionally, Naver unveiled a strategy to enhance AI transformation (AX) competitiveness in manufacturing industries such as semiconductors and automobiles through physical AI.

Soo-Yeon Choi, CEO of Naver, announced at Naver's integrated conference 'DAN25' held on the morning of the 6th at COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, "Based on our accumulated experience and technological capabilities, we will begin the full-scale introduction of advanced agents to major services, starting with shopping and gradually expanding to search, advertising, and others."
Opening the keynote session, CEO Choi emphasized, "There are not many platforms where users can experience a seamless journey from search to execution all in one place," and added, "Over the past year, Team Naver has integrated AI into major services such as search, shopping, local, and finance using proprietary technology, which has resulted in increased user satisfaction and driven revenue growth, providing positive signals."
Full-scale Introduction of AI Agents in Services Like Search and Shopping... Launch of 'Agent N'

On this day, Naver unveiled 'Agent N,' which integrates data and technology infrastructure across all services. Agent N is designed to understand user context, predict and suggest next actions, and even execute them. Since last year, Naver has advanced its vertical (specialized) AI capabilities in each domain through its 'on-service AI' strategy, applying AI throughout its services.
Based on this, Naver plans to launch a shopping agent in the Naver Plus Store in the first quarter of next year. In the second quarter, it will introduce the 'AI Tab,' which fully integrates AI agents into unified search. Kim Beomjun, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Naver and head of the Agent N project, explained, "The shopping agent has established a highly reliable data infrastructure, including reviews that can only be left by actual buyers and reservers, as well as inventory data directly linked to sellers, and has also built a technical verification system to analyze this data."
CEO Choi stressed, "Users will no longer have to worry about what keywords to enter; simply by conversing with Agent N, the AI agent will understand their intentions, connect them to the desired content, products, or services, and even carry out the actual actions."
Business-focused AI agents will also be introduced. Starting next year, Naver will sequentially launch 'Agent N for Business,' an integrated business agent. Jongmin Lee, Head of Naver's Advertising Division, stated, "The Naver Business Agent is an AI solution for all business operators, including shopping, advertising, and Place. By integrating previously scattered business solutions and data, we expect it will help operators analyze their business environment and diagnose and improve their current status using AI."
Establishing a Physical AI Testbed... Humanoids to be Deployed by the End of This Month
To strengthen the competitiveness of the AI ecosystem, Naver will also expand investments in infrastructure such as data centers and graphics processing units (GPUs). First, it will invest over 1 trillion won in GPUs by 2026. In addition, a physical AI testbed connecting Naver's headquarters, '1784,' and its data center, 'Gak Sejong,' will soon be operational.
CEO Choi emphasized, "By combining Naver's AI software capabilities with the competitiveness of Korea's core manufacturing industries such as semiconductors, automobiles, and shipbuilding, we will accelerate the AI transformation and innovation of the entire Korean industry. Based on our full-stack AI technology capabilities, we aim to contribute to Korea's rise as one of the world's top three AI powerhouses."
Kim Yuwon, CEO of Naver Cloud, also took the stage to unveil the company's industrial AI strategy, including industry-specialized AI and global market expansion. CEO Kim stressed, "AI is the core infrastructure that determines industrial competitiveness. As a company that understands the language, data, and industrial structure of its home country, Naver is building vertical AI models for each industry based on Sovereign AI 2.0."
He continued, "By collaborating with companies in major industries such as shipbuilding, energy, and bio, we will further advance the use of AI throughout the entire manufacturing process, while also expanding our technology into global markets such as Saudi Arabia, Thailand, and Japan to broaden our Sovereign AI references."

Naver Cloud is building an industry-specialized AI ecosystem with physical AI technology that operates in the field. Physical AI refers to AI that interacts with the physical world and can act proactively like humans in real-world settings. Naver began research on robotics and autonomous driving in 2016 and developed physical AI based on foundation models in 2021.
CEO Kim explained, "Physical AI is technology that allows machines to perceive and understand space, make their own judgments, and take action," and introduced, "Naver's physical AI is evolving through a virtuous cycle of three elements: accumulated real-world data, a cloud platform, and onboard AI (AI installed on devices)."
On this day, CEO Kim announced plans to unveil a humanoid robot called 'Mininoid,' which walks on two legs in a human-like form. He said, "We are preparing a humanoid about 1 meter tall," and added, "By the end of this month, you will be able to see humanoids working and moving around Naver's headquarters, 1784."
Meanwhile, CEO Choi commented on the company's social contribution program, 'Naver Impact,' saying, "We will continue to support efforts to reduce gaps in AI education and technology, and help small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), creators, and local business operators increase productivity and take on the global market through AI."
